In this third grade language arts course students will spend time reading stories, writing, and working with words. Students will be graded on daily work and will take quizzes and tests, along with several projects. Instructional units have been purposefully written to meet PA Instructional Standards in preparation for the Reading portion of the Third Grade PSSA. Students will experience assignments that address the areas of reading, writing, and language skills development. Students will be expected to complete online, independent, and adult-assisted assignments and assessments. The course is designed to be developmentally appropriate for third grade students and REQUIRES adult assistance.
