Each year blendedschools.net recognizes educators from its membership at its annual conference. The following information shows a list of these awards, the criteria for each award category, and a list of past recipients.
Please help us recognize the hard work of those visionary educators committed to helping our children travel successfully through today’s digital world.
Outstanding Contribution: The Outstanding Contribution Award will be presented to the person(s) who have demonstrated vision, initiative, and passion for online learning. This person(s) will have made a difference in development, promotion, or advancement of modern online learning, particularly online learning with blendedschools.net.
Course Design: The Online Course Designer Award will be presented for exemplary online instructional design. The recipient(s) of this award will be honored for designing engaging online instruction that guides students through knowledge and process acquisition, exploration and discovery, assessment and reflection. The course instruction facilitates student production of significant and meaningful products through learning that merges the state of the art instructional methods, the vast rich resources of the Internet and the power of our Learning Management System.
Program Innovation: The Program Innovation Award will be given for creative use of online learning to enhance learning opportunities within the perimeters of the existing curriculum. The program will make use of video and/or online technology and will be an exemplary model that can be reproduced for use by others.
Leadership: The Leadership Award will be presented to the person(s) with a clear vision of the mission of blenededschools.net and a proven ability to help lead blendedschools.net to the fruition of that mission. Examples of this type of leadership would include, but not limited to, enthusiastic promotion of existing programs, willingness to approach development of new programs/features with an open mind, mentorship, willingness to share knowledge and use of blendedschool.net, and a passion to be part of the success of blendedschools.net.
Teacher(s) of the Year: The Teacher of the Year Award will be presented to the teacher that possesses a demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for the use of online/video teaching strategies to enrich and enhance student learning.
